What’s Your Passion?
Question #1… What’s your passion?
Question #2… Are you doing it?
Question #3… Why aren’t you if you’re not?
This is a photo a friend took of me right after crossing the finish line of the Louisiana Marathon in 2016. The thrill on my face is for two reasons in particular. I had just crossed the finish line and my race time was a personal best. I was on top of the world in this moment.
That’s what happens when we’re passionate about something. One of my favorite quotes by Jon Bon Jovi is “Nothing is as important as passion. No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate.”
Prioritize your passions so that when you’re reflecting on your life, you won’t be sitting in your rocking chair and wishing you had gotten to do more of the things you love. Do them now. Make the time. It’s never too late, or too early.
Just this morning I was running with a friend, and we were talking about this very subject. Being deliberate about how we spend our time is so important. Proverbs says that when we are without a vision, we perish. We NEED a vision. A passion. A plan.
What is your passion and how can you do more of it?
Dig deep and think about the things that mean the most to you. How can you incorporate them into your life so that you can experience the passion that lights up your face and your world.
